Born and raised in Ukraine, Sasha Samsonova fell into photography as a teenager and refined her craft by studying the works and processes of icons like Helmut Newton and Richard Avedon. At seventeen, she was asked to shoot for Harper's Bazaar and, shortly after, found herself shooting for a number of other titles across Europe. In 2013, Sasha moved to LA and her career began to take off and encompass directing, as well.
Sasha’s projects span the art, fashion and commercial worlds. Her sultry, elegant aesthetic captures a beautiful sense of mood that’s timeless and powerful. Sasha has collaborated with brands and editorials such as Fear of God, Google, Kylie Cosmetics, Revlon, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, L’Officiel, and Elle. In addition, Sasha has directed music videos for artists like Ciara, Gallant, and Pink.
