Tina Tyrell is a New York City-based photographer and director whose work is at once painterly, evocative, and whimsical. Her multifaceted approach to image-making seamlessly combines character-driven portraiture, fashion, and still-life moments that create a narrative that is playful, striking, and allegorical. Her intimate portraits of mothers and children carry a deeply personal touch, reflecting her own experience as a mother. Simultaneously, her penchant for fashion imagery, which often centers around childrenswear and menswear, offers a unique perspective through the lens of an elevated & refined female gaze. Tina’s 2023 solo show; “Song For The Young” at Williamsburg’s Soloway Gallery featured 14 photographs & a novel-esque journal outtake that spans the decades of Tina’s life from childhood innocence, teenage lust & admiration through to motherhood love and observations of her present-day. Clients include Marc Jacobs, Balmain, Stella McCartney, Michael Kors, Pop, AnOther, Dazed, Noon, Buffalo Zine, CR Fashion Book, WSJ, & Vogue
